  • DAY 1: SEATTLE, WA

    Your Canadian Rockies and Alaska Highway experience begins today with your arrival at the Seattle International Airport. We will greet you and transfer you your hotel for the evening. The remainder of your day is free to take in the sights and sounds of Seattle.

  • DAY 2: KAMLOOPS, BC

    After a welcome breakfast comes a city tour of Seattle. Parallel Puget Sound and then follow the Frasier River before crossing the Cascade Mountains into Kamloops, the wine country of British Columbia.

  • DAY 3: BANFF, AB

    Enter the Canadian Rockies and wind past pristine lakes, rivers and mountains. Visit Glacier National Park, then enter Banff National Park and the town of Banff.  Tonight you will take a gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain.

  • DAY 4: COLUMBIA ICEFIELDS, AB

     

    You have the morning to explore Banff. Travel the Icefield’s Parkway viewing Peyto Lake and Lake Louise before riding an Ice Explorer coach, walking around on Athabasca Glacier and viewing the Glacier Skywalk.

  • DAY 5: JASPER, AB

    View Athabasca Falls before heading to Jasper National Park.  In Jasper take a tram ride up the mountain for lunch with views of six mountain ranges. The rest of your day is free in Jasper.

  • DAY 6: DAWSON CREEK, AB

    It’s north on the Bighorn Highway to Dawson Creek this morning. Keep a look out for mountain sheep and elk along the way. In Dawson Creek you reach “Mile 0” of the Alaska Highway.

  • DAY 7: FORT NELSON, BC

    Today begin your journey on the historic Alaska Highway. You will spend the next six days traveling 1,422 miles of the Alaska Highway, considered by many to be one of the United States’ greatest engineering feats. Tonight you will call Fort Nelson home.

  • DAY 8: MUNCHO LAKE, BC

    Spend time at the Fort Nelson historical museum before your journey through Stone Mountain Provincial Park and into beautiful Muncho Lake. Keep your eyes open for wildlife! After a German-style lunch, your afternoon is at leisure in this pristine mountain lake setting.

  • DAY 9: WHITEHORSE, YT

    Continue up the great Alaska Highway as you set course for Whitehorse, the capital city of the Yukon. Make a stop at Watson Lake’s famous Sign Post Forest before arriving in Whitehorse. This stretch of the highway is well known for its wildlife.

  • DAY 10: TOK, AK

    Travel through marvelous Kluane National Park today, stopping at the Da Ku Cultural Center. Be on the lookout for wildlife. It is not uncommon to spot bear and sheep along the highway here.

  • DAY 11: FAIRBANKS, AK

    You will have traveled the entire Alaska Highway when you enter Delta Junction at mile post “1422” this morning. After a picture stop continue on Alaska’s first highway, the Richardson, to Fairbanks, your home for the next two nights. Tonight you feast at the great Alaska Salmon Bake before completing your busy day with a show at the Palace Theatre.

  • DAY 12: FAIRBANKS, AK

    The legendary Riverboat Discovery takes you on a 3-hour journey along the Chena River this morning. An exclusive luncheon at Trail Breaker Kennels, home to the late four-time Iditarod Champion, Susan Butcher, will introduce you to dog sledding.

    Journey to Denali National Park this morning! Upon arrival, board a private sightseeing bus bound for Kantishna. Tonight you’ll sleep 95 miles deep in the heart of Denali National Park. Keep your cameras ready as moose, caribou, Dall sheep, wolves and bear call this park home.

  • DAY 14: DENALI NATIONAL PARK, AK

    Today you can relax in a peaceful setting offering visitors the chance to go one on one with nature and perhaps capture that postcard photo of Mt. Denali. Hiking, mountain biking, botany walks, gold panning and fishing in Wonder Lake are included with your stay. Optional flightseeing tours of Mt. Denali are available.

  • DAY 15: TALKEETNA, AK

    Photograph more wildlife this morning as you make your way back to the park entrance.  Afterwards, you board the Alaska Railroad and journey south to the quaint town of Talkeetna will be your home for the evening. Enjoy expansive views of Mt. Denali from your lodge's back porch.

  • DAY 16: AT SEA

    Departing Talkeetna you will arrive in Anchorage and tour the Anchorage museum, then enjoy lunch. Next, sightsee along the beautiful Kenai Peninsula on your way to the port of Seward. This afternoon, board Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas for a 7 day cruise through Alaska’s Inside Passage. Your John Hall’s Cruise Manager will meet you in Anchorage, acting as your personal cruise concierge for the next 7 days.

  • DAY 17: HUBBARD GLACIER, AK

    Hubbard Glacier Viewing: 2pm - 6pm
    Today’s voyage takes you into Yakutat Bay and along side the Tongass National Forest where you will soon reach Disenchantment Bay and the impressive ice wall of Hubbard Glacier.  Hubbard is the second most active tidewater glacier in Alaska and has a face that extends over 6.5 miles in length. Stand in awe as at any moment a thunderous crash of glacial ice may come cascading down into the ice choked waters below.

  • DAY 18: JUNEAU, AK

    In Port: 9am - 9pm
    Maneuver into the Gastineau Channel and dock in Alaska’s capital city, Juneau. Take advantage of your included Juneau walking tour highlighting the history of the Juneau Douglas Mines, local and state museums, and a visit to the state capital. You may wish to tour the Mendenhall Glacier, take a helicopter tour, or travel to the top of Mt. Roberts on the aerial tram.

  • DAY 19: SKAGWAY, AK

    In Port: 7:30am - 8pm
    Welcome to the “Gateway City to the Klondike Gold Rush”!  This historic community still has the feel of an 1898 boom town. The voices coming from the saloons and the sound of boots on the boardwalk still echo in the air, while the legend of outlaw “Soapy Smith” lives on in every story. You have the option to take the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad on an incredible climb, 2500 feet to the top of the renowned “Dead Horse Trail”.

    Known as the “Salmon Capital of the World” and the first city for those traveling from the south, this vibrant seaside community offers a number of adventures for its visitors. Today’s included walking tour features stops at the Totems of Whale Park, historic Creek Street, and the Salmon Ladder. Flightseeing to beautiful Misty Fjords is a popular event for many. Others may elect to keep their feet on the ground and visit the totem displays of Saxman Village & Totem Bight Park.

    Dock at 7am - Fly Home Today
    As dawn breaks on the harbor, your vessel will sail under the Lions Gate Bridge and dock at Canada Place Pier. This marks a time for good-byes and well wishes to all of those new friendships that have developed during your dream Alaska vacation. After the disembarkation process is complete, you’ll pass through Canadian customs before being transferred to the Vancouver or Seattle (optional) airport to board your flight bound for home.
