How Do I Make A Reservation on a John Hall's Alaska Tour?

Space on each tour is limited to 44 persons or less, so please book early. Our price guarantee assures you that you will never pay more than those who book later on. We never conduct "fire sales" at the last minute. If a special becomes available later, we will extend these deals to you too! Booking early ensures that you will have the best selection of departure dates and cruise cabins.

Reservations may be made directly to John Hall’s Alaska by mail, fax, telephone, in person, or by internet. (800) 325-2270. Fax (651) 345-1230. Alaskan Specialists are available for tour bookings 7:30am-5:30pm M-F and 8am-4pm on Saturday. If you want to call us before or after those times- feel free! We forward the phones into our houses and would be happy to answer your questions and give you advice about traveling in Alaska! REALLY!

We recommend reserving your spot on all additional land and shore excursions before you leave for your trip. You may do this by contacting our office directly. We will add the land excursions to your invoice separately but you will have to prepay for shore excursions at the time of booking. Should your excursion be cancelled due to weather you will be refunded the price of your excursion. Please use our staff as your personal excursion information resource. We know which tours our guests love and which ones to skip!

What are the Deposit Requirements?

Whether you are taking a CruiseTour, a Land Only tour or a Cruise Only tour, the deposit requirements are the same. To confirm your reservation please send a deposit of $500.00 per person within 10 days of your reservation. To reserve your space by credit card please contact our office.

When are Final Payments Due?

Final payments must reach John Hall's Alaska 75 days prior your tour departure date. Final payment reminders will be sent out to you three weeks before the deadline. If payment is not received on time, space may be released. Re-booking will be subject to availability. Mastercard, Visa, American Express and personal checks are acceptable forms of payment.

A Final Payment discount of $200 per person will be extended for tours paid by check or cash versus credit card. The $500 per person deposit may still be paid by credit card if you wish. (This Final Payment discount drops to $25 per person for Cruise Only passengers).

How Do I Cancel My Tour? What is your Refund Policy?

If a cancellation is made in writing at least 75 days prior to departure, a full refund will be made including deposits. For cancellations made less than 75 days prior to departure, the following per person charges apply: 74-61 days - deposit amounts, 60-29 days - 50% of total tour fare; 28-15 days prior to departure- 75% of total tour fare, 14-0 days- 100% of total tour fare. In the event of interruption or cancellation of your tour after its commencement, there will be no refunds. We recommend trip insurance through CSA Travel Protection to cover trip cancellation, trip interruption and unexpected medical costs (CSA Travel Protection: 800-554-9839). Note: We do not sell trip insurance directly.

DO I Need Trip Insurance?

Trip insurance covers the unexpected circumstances and because our trips are all-inclusive and completely pre-paid, we highly recommend that you think about trip insurance. We recommend CSA Travel Protection to cover trip cancellation, trip interruption and unexpected medical costs (CSA Travel Protection: 800-554-9839). Mention that you are traveling with John Hall's Alaska when you call and receive a discounted rate. Please note: We do not sell trip insurance directly.

What's the Best Way To Make Airfare Arrangements?

John Hall's Alaska tour packages do not include airfare. We have a partnership with Sun Country Airlines, based out of Minneapolis, MN and extend our net rates to our passengers flying from the mid west or making connections in Minneapolis. Please call us for airfare rates.
We are happy to look up current rates for guests wishing to fly on alternate airlines and assist in the booking process.
Please forward your complete air itinerary to our office so that we can track your flight and meet you at the airport upon arrival. If your airline changes your flight number, please pass on the new flight number to our office as this is how we track your arrival into Anchorage.

What If I have Special Dietary, Mobility or Medical Needs?

Salt-free, vegetarian, kosher or any food allergies avoidance meals must be requested at the time of booking. Please reconfirm your meal request with your John Hall's Alaska Cruise Manager when you board the ship. Guests with food allergies would be wise to inform dining staff at each restaurant as an added precaution.

Should you need wheelchair assessable rooms or rooms near an elevator, please let us know at the time of booking. We are able to accommodate individuals with walkers, scooters and wheelchairs as long as they break down for storage in the motorcoach baggage area.
Please also let us know if you have a CPAP machine (sleep apnea machine) or need to bring refrigerated insulin on your trip.

When Do Final Tour Documents Arrive?

Prior to receiving tour documents, guests will be asked to complete the cruise lines' online check in information. Tour documents, including detailed itinerary, hotel lists, luggage tags, jackets and passenger lists will be mailed approximately 14-21 days prior to departure. This may be delayed is final payment is not received on time.

Itinerary Revisions

John Hall's Alaska reserves the right to revise the services included in the itinerary such as hotel accommodations and attractions. In cases of substitution, a comparable quality service will be used. Triple rooms, when available, may contain either two beds and a roll-away, or two double beds.
