Arrive in the metropolitan city of Anchorage, Alaska today! We will greet you upon arrival and personally escort you to your luxury accommodations for this evening. Anchorage has much to offer if you wish to explore. Downtown offers many quaint shops and unique culinary delights. You might also consider a float plane sightseeing adventure over the Alaska Range or a leisurely stroll around Lake Hood, the busiest sea plane base in North America. D

DAY 2- DENALI NATIONAL PARK
After a delicious breakfast you will enjoy a trip through the gorgeous Matanuska Valley where the short but sunny growing season can produce 10 pound carrots and 1,000 pound pumpkins. Enjoy lunch at the Sheep Creek Lodge then it’s on to the expansive landscapes of Denali National Park! Relax on your private balcony overlooking the Nenana River at the Grizzly Bear Resort, your home for the next two nights.  Tonight you’ll experience the “Cabin Nite” dinner show. B L D

DAY 3- DENALI NATIONAL PARK & KANTISHNA
Get ready for a wildlife adventure as you depart on a 95-mile trip deep into the boundaries of Denali National Park. Be on the lookout for the Alaskan “Grand Slam”; bears, moose, caribou, and Dall sheep. You’ll be delighted with a stop at the remote and picturesque Denali Backcountry Lodge in Kantishna where you can partake in a guided hike, pan for gold or just unwind after your satisfying lunch. There is also an optional scenic flight back to the park’s entrance for those who are interested. Participate in an exclusive John Hall’s Alaska dinner while in Denali National Park tonight. B L D

DAY 4- DENALI NATIONAL PARK/ FAIRBANKS
This morning is free for you to take a leisurely nature hike, raft the mighty Nenana River or perhaps take a helicopter ride and land on a glacier. You may wish to take the opportunity to tee it up and play 9 holes of golf! This afternoon you will board the first-class cars of the Alaska Railroad and travel in luxury on a 4-hour journey to Fairbanks enjoying a fabulous dinner feast while en route. B L D

DAY 5- FAIRBANKS
Today you are off on a full day’s adventure visiting the sights and sounds that make Fairbanks truly the “Golden Heart City”. It begins with a 3 - hour cruise down the Chena and Tanana Rivers aboard the legendary Riverboat Discovery. This afternoon, dine in the comfort and graces of Trail Breaker Kennels, home to the family of the late dog mushing champion, Susan Butcher. Later today visit the Museum of the North before dining at the great Alaska Salmon Bake!  B L D

DAY 6- VALDEZ
Today you’ll travel south on the Alaska Highway until it joins the Richardson,Alaska’s first highway. As you enter the Copper River Valley you’ll make a stop at the headquarters for the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, the largest national park in the US park system. Fewer than 5% of Alaska visitors have a chance to experience this scenic part of Alaska. Continuing south, you’ll experience Worthington Glacier, Thompson Pass and Keystone Canyon, home to Bridal Veil and Horsetail Falls. The Lowe River will course by your side all the way into the quaint fishing port of Valdez, your home for the night.  B L D

DAY 7- PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND/ COLUMBIA GLACIER & SEWARD
Today you will venture into the marine sanctuary of Prince William Sound aboard  Stan Stephens Glacier Spirit and enjoy a 6-8 hour small boat cruise to view Columbia Glacier. It is the most active tidewater glacier in North America and produces 200 ft icebergs. Icebergs this large can only be found here and off the coasts of Antarctica and Greenland! Have your camera ready to capture the majesty of the mighty Humpback and Orca whales that inhabit these waters during the summer months. Prince William Sound also provides shelter to sea lions, otters, harbor seals, puffins and eagles. After your small boat cruise you will be met by your John Hall’s Alaska cruise manager and transferred to either the Millennium or Radiance of the Seas, where he or she will assist you for the next seven days on board. B L

DAY 8- HUBBARD GLACIER in port 2pm-6pm
Today’s voyage takes you into Yakutat Bay and along side the Tongass National Forest where you will soon reach Disenchantment Bay and the impressive ice wall of Hubbard Glacier. Hubbard is the second most active tidewater glacier in Alaska and has a face that extends to over 6.5 miles. Stand in awe as at any moment a thunderous crash of glacier ice may come crashing down into the ice choked waters below.

DAY 9- JUNEAU in port 9am-9pm
As the sun rises on the horizon, your vessel will maneuver into the Gastineau Channel. It is here you will dock in Alaska’s capital city. As you prepare for a day of sightseeing you will notice float planes lining up to take flight seers and sportsmen to an array of outposts in the surrounding mountains. You will have many options in the capital city today. You may tour the Mendenhall Glacier, the Glacier Gardens, enjoy a city tour with a visit to the salmon hatchery, or a scenic trip to the top of Mt. Roberts on the aerial tram. For the adventure seekers, try a flight to the glaciers and a real dog sled experience across snow packed surfaces or a glacier trek where you will walk on the glaciers of Alaska.

DAY 10- SKAGWAY in port 7am-8:30pm
Welcome to the “Gateway City to the Klondike Gold Rush!” This historic community still has the feel of an 1898 boom town. The voices coming from the saloons and the sound of boots on the boardwalk still echo in the air, while the legend of outlaw “Soapy Smith” lives on in every story. You have the option to take the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad on an incredible climb, 2500 feet to the top of the renowned “Dead Horse Trail.”

DAY 11- ICY STRAIT POINT in port 7am-4pm
Down the road from Alaska’s largest Tlingit village exists a uniquely Alaskan place- Icy Strait Point. Just 22 miles southeast of Glacier Bay National Park, it’s the only wilderness port in Alaska. This has been the home land of the Hoonah Tlingit Natives for thousands of years. Its beauty, grandeur, history and people offer you a glimpse into the real Alaska.
DAY 12- KETCHIKAN in port 9am-6pm
Known as the “Salmon Capital” of Alaska and the first city for those traveling from the south, this brilliant seaside community offers a number of adventures for its visitors. Flight seeing to beautiful Misty Fjords is a popular event for many. Others may elect to keep their feet on the ground and visit the totem displays of Saxman Village & Totem Bight Park. If you are exploring on your own, the historic Creek Street District is a must, and the Southeast Discovery Lands Center is well worth the cost of admission.

DAY 13- INSIDE PASSAGE CRUISING
Tidal waters permitting, you will hug the coastlines of Alaska and stunning British Columbia. The scenery offered by the Inside Passage is far different from that found in other cruise destinations around the globe. Keep an eye open for Humpbacks, Orcas, and Dolphins during your day at sea.

Fly Home:  AK111- Jun 171; AK112- Jun 24; AK113- Jul 8; AK114- Jul 29; AK115- Aug 5; AK116- Aug 26; AK117- Sep 2; AK118- Sep 9; AK119- Sep 16
DAY 14- VANCOUVER in port 7am
As dawn breaks on the harbor, your vessel will sail under the Lions Gate Bridge and dock at the Canada Place Pier. This marks a time for good-byes and well wishes to all of those new friendships that have developed during your dream Alaska vacation. After the disembarkation process is completed and you pass through Canadian customs, you will be transferred to the Vancouver or Seattle (optional) airports where you will board flights bound for home.
