Keep your cameras ready for photos of whales, sea otters, harbor seals, eagles, and other birds. Tonight your home will be in the “Little Switzerland” of Alaska, Valdez.   B L D

DAY 3- KEYSTONE CANYON & FAIRBANKS
Breakfast will help get your day started, and then its off to explore Keystone Canyon!  It is here that you will find the rushing waters of Bridal Veil and Horsetail Falls cradled between sheer black cliffs. After a picture stop you will dramatically ascend to the top of Thompson Pass and travel into Fairbanks, Alaska. Fairbanks will be your home for the next two evenings. Sleep well tonight for your next few days will be packed with cultural and historical activities.   B L D

DAY 4- FAIRBANKS
After an Alaskan style breakfast you are off on a full day of touring the highlights and history that make Fairbanks a star city. Your busy schedule will begin with a journey down Discovery Lane where you will board the Riverboat Discovery for a three hour narrated tour along the Chena and Tanana waterways.  Your tour will make a scheduled stop in an authentic Athabascan village where you will learn about the Native’s ability to live off the land and cope with the extremes of Mother Nature. This afternoon you’ll visit the Trail Breaker Kennels where you will enjoy an educational show and scrumptious luncheon. The Kennel was the home training ground of the four time Iditarod Champion, Susan Butcher. Tonight you’ll enjoy the renowned fare of the Alaska Salmon Bake and a dinner show!   B L D

DAY 5- DENALI NATIONAL PARK/ WONDER LAKE & KANTISHNA
Get ready for adventure as you board the first class style seating of the Alaska Railroad for a 4-hour journey to Denali National Park. Upon arrival, you will head to the entrance of Denali National Park and board a comfortable bus which will take you 95 miles deep into Denali to Kantishna, your home for the next two days. During the 5 hour ride, keep your eyes open and cameras ready as you watch for moose, caribou, Dall sheep, wolves, brown bears and of course Mt. McKinley.  Before you reach your destination of Kantishna, you will pass by the reflective waters of Wonder Lake.  B L D

DAY 6- DENALI NATIONAL PARK/ WONDER LAKE & KANTISHNA
Wake up to true nature this morning. This wilderness setting is what so many dream of when they visit Denali and Alaska each year.  You are one of the lucky few who actually get to go face to face with Mother Nature. Enjoy a day of relaxation or spend your day hiking, mountain biking, gold panning or take an optional flightseeing tour.   B L D

DAY 7- DENALI NATIONAL PARK & TALKEETNA
After a hearty breakfast you will board your bus for the 5 hour wildlife tour back to the park entrance with another chance to see the “Big Five”. DAY 9- HUBBARD GLACIER 2pm-6pm
Today’s voyage takes you into Yakutat Bay and along side the Tongass National Forest where you will soon reach Disenchantment Bay and the impressive ice wall of Hubbard Glacier. Hubbard is the second most active tidewater glacier in Alaska and has a face that extends to over 6.5 miles. Stand in awe as at any moment a thunderous crash of glacier ice may come crashing down into the ice choked waters below.

DAY 10- JUNEAU in port 9am-9pm
As the sun rises on the horizon, your vessel will maneuver into the Gastineau Channel. It is here you will dock in Alaska’s capital city. As you prepare for a day of sightseeing you will notice float planes lining up to take flight seers and sportsmen to an array of outposts in the surrounding mountains. You will have many options in the capital city today. You may tour the Mendenhall Glacier, the Glacier Gardens, enjoy a city tour with a visit to the salmon hatchery, or a scenic trip to the top of Mt. Roberts on the aerial tram. For the adventure seekers, try a flight to the glaciers and a real dog sled experience across snow packed surfaces or a glacier trek where you will walk on the glaciers of Alaska.

DAY 11- SKAGWAY in port 7am-8:30pm
Welcome to the “Gateway City to the Klondike Gold Rush!” This historic community still has the feel of an 1898 boom town. The voices coming from the saloons and the sound of boots on the boardwalk still echo in the air, while the legend of outlaw “Soapy Smith” lives on in every story. You have the option to take the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad on an incredible climb, 2500 feet to the top of the renowned “Dead Horse Trail.”

DAY 12- ICY STRAIT POINT in port 7am-4pm
Down the road from Alaska’s largest Tlingit village exists a uniquely Alaskan place- Icy Strait Point. Just 22 miles southeast of Glacier Bay National Park, it’s the only wilderness port in Alaska. This has been the home land of the Hoonah Tlingit Natives for thousands of years. Its beauty, grandeur, history and people offer you a glimpse into the real Alaska.
DAY 13- KETCHIKAN in port 9am-6pm
Known as the “Salmon Capital” of Alaska and the first city for those traveling from the south, this brilliant seaside community offers a number of adventures for its visitors. Flight seeing to beautiful Misty Fjords is a popular event for many. Others may elect to keep their feet on the ground and visit the totem displays of Saxman Village & Totem Bight Park. If you are exploring on your own, the historic Creek Street District is a must, and the Southeast Discovery Lands Center is well worth the cost of admission.

DAY 14- INSIDE PASSAGE CRUISING
Tidal waters permitting, you will hug the coastlines of Alaska and stunning British Columbia. The scenery offered by the Inside Passage is far different from that found in other cruise destinations around the globe. Keep an eye open for Humpbacks, Orcas, and Dolphins during your day at sea.

Fly Home:  AK150- Jun 15; AK151- Jun 29; AK152- Jul 13; AK153- Jul 20; AK154- Aug 3; AK155- Aug 10; AK156- Aug 17; AK157- Aug 24;
AK158- Aug 31; AK159- Sep 14

As dawn breaks on the harbor, your vessel will sail under the Lions Gate Bridge and dock at the Canada Place Pier. This marks a time for good-byes and well wishes to all of those new friendships that have developed during your dream Alaska vacation. After the disembarkation process is completed and you pass through Canadian customs, you will be transferred to the Vancouver or Seattle (optional) airports where you will board flights bound for home.
