DAY 1: ANCHORAGE
Fly to Anchorage today, the largest city in Alaska! Upon arrival at Ted Stevens International airport, you will be met by a John Hall’s Alaska representative who will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to your accommodations for tonight. The remainder of today can be spent at your leisure taking in the sights and sounds of Anchorage. D
DAY 2- PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND & COLUMBIA GLACIER
After a city tour of Anchorage, board the Alaska Railroad for an expedition leading you south along Turnagain Arm to the city of Whittier. Here you will join Stan
Stephens Glacier Cruises for a scenic trip across Prince William Sound. Harbor seals, sea lions, sea otters, whales and birds will highlight your cruise. Early this evening you will arrive at the quaint port of Valdez, your home for two evenings. B L D

DAY 3- BEAVER CREEK
This morning you’re off on a full day’s adventure with a trip through the heart of Keystone Canyon. Atop Thompson Pass, you will view the stunning Worthington
Glacier and later you’ll stop at the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park visitors’ center. After lunch it’s a picture stop upon arrival in the Yukon Territory, setting your sights on the era of 1898 and the Klondike gold rush. Tonight you will dine in the comical atmosphere of the “Rendezvous Dinner Show”. B L D

DAY 4- WHITEHORSE
Witness the great Alaska Highway today as you set course for Whitehorse, the capital city of the Yukon. Your route will pass the towering St. Elias Mountains and marvelous Kluane National Park, where you will make a stop at the Kluane Museum of Natural History. This stretch of the highway is well known for its wildlife so keep your eyes open and camera ready. B L D

DAY 5- SKAGWAY & WHITEHORSE
Look forward to a full day of gold rush history! Your expedition will begin with a stop in historic Carcross. Later you will take a ride on the famed White Pass & Yukon Route, dropping over 2,500 feet in elevation before arriving at Skagway. Enjoy a free afternoon hearing the stories of the gold seekers, con men, and outlaws who shaped Skagway’s history. Return to Whitehorse for the evening. B L D

DAY 6- DAWSON CITY
Continue north on the “Trail of 98” to the Yukon today. Just over an hour outside of Whitehorse, you will make a visit to the historic Braeburn Lodge, famous for their gigantic homemade cinnamon rolls. Then it’s off to Pelly Crossing and the Moose Creek Lodge for afternoon pie. Keep your camera ready as we plan a number of photo stops before your arrival into historic Dawson City, your home for the next two evenings. This evening, enjoy a dinner cruise down the mighty Yukon River aboard the Klondike Spirit paddlewheeler. B L D

DAY 7- DAWSON CITY
Dawson City is located only 165 miles south of the Arctic Circle and is truly atop the world. While in Gold Rush country, you will visit the Midnight Dome, Gold Dredge #4 and Discovery Claim. Tonight you have the opportunity to visit Canada’s oldest gambling hall, Diamond Tooth Gertie’s Casino. B L D

DAY 8- FAIRBANKS
Shortly after your departure from Dawson City, you join the Top of the World Highway for a 79 mile stretch of dramatic roadway offering views that go on
seemingly forever. Before a lunch stop in Tok, visit the busy metropolis of Chicken, Alaska. This afternoon you join the Alaska Highway again as you make your way north to Fairbanks, your home for the next two nights. B L D

DAY 9- FAIRBANKS
Today you are off on a full day’s adventure visiting the sights and sounds that make Fairbanks truly the “Golden Heart City”. It begins with a 3- hour cruise down the Chena and Tanana Rivers aboard the legendary Riverboat Discovery. This afternoon, dine in the comfort and graces of Trail Breaker Kennels, home to the family of the late dog mushing champion, Susan Butcher. Later this evening feast at the great Alaska Salmon Bake! DAY 10- DENALI NATIONAL PARK/ WONDER LAKE & KANTISHNA
Ride in luxury on the Alaska Railroad’s GoldStar service cars and enjoy a bountiful breakfast en route to Denali National Park. Upon arrival, board a private sightseeing bus bound for Kantishna. Tonight you’ll sleep 95 miles deep in the heart of Denali National Park. Keep your cameras ready as moose, caribou, Dall sheep, wolf and bear call this park home. B L D

DAY 11- DENALI NATIONAL PARK/ WONDER LAKE & KANTISHNA
Today you can relax in a peaceful setting offering visitors the chance to go one on one with nature and perhaps capture that postcard photo of Mt. McKinley. Hiking, mountain biking, gold panning and fishing are included with your stay. Optional flightseeing tours are available. B L D

DAY 12- DENALI NATIONAL PARK & TALKEETNA
Another opportunity to photograph the “Big Five” awaits as you make your return trip on the 95 mile road back to the park entrance. After lunch you will head south on the George Parks Highway and visit Veteran’s Memorial. Your accommodations tonight offer a chance to explore the charming town of Talkeetna. B L D

DAY 13- KENAI PENINSULA & SEWARD
Begin your day with a tour of the Anchorage Museum then a drive along the Seward Highway viewing the beautiful Kenai Peninsula. Arrive in Seward where your personal John Hall’s Alaska Cruise Manager will assist you with the cruise ship embarkation process and act as your personal concierge throughout your week cruising Alaska’s Inside Passage. DAY 14- HUBBARD GLACIER 2pm-6pm
Today’s voyage takes you into Yakutat Bay and along side the Tongass National Forest where you will soon reach Disenchantment Bay and the impressive ice wall of Hubbard Glacier. The largest and second most active tidewater glacier in Alaska has a face that extends to over 6.5 miles in length. Stand in awe as at any moment a thunderous crash of glacier ice may come crashing down into the ice choked waters below.

DAY 15- JUNEAU in port 9am-9pm
Dock in Alaska’s capital city, Juneau, and enjoy a walking tour highlighting the history of the Juneau Douglas Mines, local and state museums, and a visit to the state capital. You may wish to tour Mendenhall Glacier or travel to the top of Mt. Roberts on the aerial tram.

DAY 16- SKAGWAY in port 7am-8:30pm
Welcome to the “Gateway City to the Klondike Gold Rush!” This historic community still has the feel of an 1898 boom town. The voices coming from the saloons and the sound of boots on the boardwalk still echo in the air, while the legend of outlaw “Soapy Smith” lives on in every story. You have the option to take the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad on an incredible climb, 2500 feet to the top of the renowned “Dead Horse Trail.”

DAY 17- ICY STRAIT POINT in port 7am-4pm
Down the road from Alaska’s largest Tlingit village exists a uniquely Alaskan place- Icy Strait Point. Just 22 miles southeast of Glacier Bay National Park, it’s the only wilderness port in Alaska. This has been the home land of the Hoonah Tlingit Natives for thousands of years. Its beauty, grandeur, history and people offer you a glimpse into the real Alaska.

DAY 18- KETCHIKAN in port 9am-6pm
Known as the “Salmon Capital of the World”, Ketchikan’s included walking tour features stops at the Totems of Whale Park, historic Creek Street, and the Salmon Ladder. Consider optional flightseeing to beautiful Misty Fjords or visit the totem displays at Totem Bight Park.

DAY 19- INSIDE PASSAGE CRUISING
Tidal waters permitting, you will hug the coastlines of Alaska and stunning British Columbia. The scenery offered by the Inside Passage is far different from that found in other cruise destinations around the globe. Keep an eye open for Humpbacks, Orcas, and Dolphins during your day at sea.

DAY 20- VANCOUVER in port 7am
As dawn breaks on the harbor, your vessel will sail under the Lions Gate Bridge and dock at the Canada Place Pier. This marks a time for good-byes and well wishes to all of those new friendships that have developed during your dream Alaska vacation. After the disembarkation process is completed and you pass through Canadian customs, you will be transferred to the Vancouver or Seattle (optional) airports where you will board flights bound for home.
Flights: This tour begins in Anchorage, Alaska and ends in Vancouver, British Columbia. Upon completion of the tour, you may return home on flights from Vancouver after 11:00 a.m. or Seattle after 3:00 p.m. Please inform us if you are flying home from Seattle after your cruise.
