If you arrive early, take advantage of the opportunity to fly over the many glaciers that are a short distance from Anchorage. D

DAY 2- ANCHORAGE & KATMAI NATIONAL PARK BEAR VIEWING
After an Alaskan style breakfast buffet, you’re off on a flightseeing tour leaving from Anchorage and landing in the middle of Katmai National Park. Katmai is famous for Brooks Falls, your bear viewing destination. You will stand on platforms as bears feed on salmon harvested from Brooks Falls below you. Enjoy lunch at the Brooks Falls Lodge before returning by plane to Anchorage for the evening. B L D

DAY 3- WRANGELL-ST. ELIAS NATIONAL PARK & COPPER RIVER VALLEY
Travel the Glenn Highway and visit Matanuska Glacier before boarding small planes for a flightseeing trip over the Wrangell Mountains. Land in the old mining cities of Kennicott & McCarthy. Upon arrival, enjoy a walking tour of this historic mining district and a visit to the McCarthy Museum. You will spend the next two evenings at the world famous Ma Johnson’s Hotel, where the cuisine rivals five stars.  B L D

DAY 4- WRANGELL-ST. ELIAS NATIONAL PARK & KENNECOTT COPPER MINES

You are off on an exploration of the amazing Kennecott copper mines today! This National Historical Landmark extracted over $200 million worth of high grade copper and another $4 million in silver. A winding path will lead you to the top of the 13 level mill and you will descend stairs to get back down again. Good physical condition is recommended. This afternoon you may catch up on a little R&R or continue your adventure by taking a guided hike to Kennicott Glacier.
 B L D

DAY 5- FAIRBANKS
Once again you board a plane for a 30 minute scenic flight to Chitna. Soon after you will head north on the Richardson, Alaska’s first highway bound for Fairbanks. Your route this afternoon will follow the great Trans-Alaska Pipeline. This is a section of the pipeline that less than 5% of visitors to Alaska have a chance to experience. In Delta Junction you meet the Alaska Highway and continue your journey into the golden city of Fairbanks. Feast at the great Alaska Salmon Bake tonight!  B L D

DAY 6- GATES OF THE ARCTIC NATIONAL PARK & BARROW
Depart Fairbanks’s airport bound for the northernmost Inupiat Eskimo village of Barrow this morning. Crossing the Arctic Circle, you will have the incredible chance to meet and learn about the culture of this arctic coastal settlement while touring the village and shorelines of the Arctic Ocean. Dip your toe in the Arctic Ocean before continuing on to Anaktuvuk Pass, located in Gates of the Arctic National Park. Tour this tiny native village before returning to Fairbanks for your private Trail Breaker Kennels dinner show. B L D

DAY 7- DENALI NATIONAL PARK/ WONDER LAKE & KANTISHNA
Start your day with a deluxe ride on the Alaska Railroad to Denali National Park which includes a generous breakfast in the dining car directly below you. Upon arrival in Denali you’ll board a private bus bound for Kantishna, your home for the next two nights.  During the 95 mile journey into the heart of Denali, view Alaska’s “Big Five”; moose, caribou, Dall sheep, wolves and bears.  Before arriving in Kantishna, you will pass the spectacular waters of Wonder Lake.  B L D

DAY 8- DENALI NATIONAL PARK/ WONDER LAKE & KANTISHNA
You awake to the sounds of nature! You are one of the lucky few to have the Kantishna experience. Going one on one with Denali and maybe even capture that postcard photograph of Mt. McKinley.  Hiking, mountain biking and gold panning are included with your stay. Optional flightseeing tours are available. B L D

DAY 9- DENALI NATIONAL PARK & TALKEETNA
Another opportunity to photograph the “Big Five” awaits as you make your return trip on the 95 mile road back to the park entrance.  After lunch you will head south on the George Parks Highway and visit Veteran’s Memorial. Your accommodations tonight offer a chance to explore the charming town of Talkeetna.  B L D

DAY 10- ANCHORAGE, KENAI PENINSULA & SEWARD

Grab your camera and get ready to spot humpback whales, sea otters, sea lions eagles and puffins during your 8.5 hours wildlife cruise of Kenai Fjords National Park. As part of this escursion, view glacier calving in front of either Aialik or Holgate Glacier before visiting the the private island of Fox for a seafood bake and prime rib dinner.  B L D

9:00pm Sailing:  AK108- Jul 20
DAY 12- SEWARD

After a hearty Alaskan breakfast, spend time at the celebrated Alaska Sea Life Center before boarding Celebrity’s Millennium for a 7-day cruise through Alaska’s Inside Passage. Your John Hall’s Cruise Manager will meet you in Seward, acting as your personal cruise concierge for the next 7 days.   B L

DAY 13- HUBBARD GLACIER 2pm-6pm
Today’s voyage takes you into Yakutat Bay and alongside the Tongass National Forest where you will soon reach Disenchantment Bay and the impressive ice wall of Hubbard Glacier. The largest and second most active tidewater glacier in Alaska has a face that extends to over 6.5 miles in length. Stand in awe as at any moment a thunderous crash of glacier ice may come crashing down into the ice choked waters below.

DAY 14- JUNEAU in port 9am-9pm
As the sun rises on the horizon, your vessel will maneuver into the Gastineau Channel. It is here you will dock in Alaska’s capital city. As you prepare for a day of sightseeing you will notice float planes lining up to take flightseers and sportsmen to an array of outposts in the surrounding mountains. You will have many options in the capital city today. You may tour the Mendenhall Glacier, the Glacier Gardens, enjoy a city tour with a visit to the salmon hatchery, or a scenic trip to the top of Mt. Roberts on the aerial tram. For the adventure seekers, try a flight to the glaciers and a real dog sled experience across snow packed surfaces or a glacier trek where you will walk on the glaciers of Alaska.

DAY 15- SKAGWAY in port 7am-8:30pm
Welcome to the “Gateway City to the Klondike Gold Rush!” This historic community still has the feel of an 1898 boom town. The voices coming from the saloons and the sound of boots on the boardwalk still echo in the air, while the legend of outlaw “Soapy Smith” lives on in every story. You have the option to take the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad on an incredible climb, 2500 feet to the top of the renowned “Dead Horse Trail.”
DAY 16- ICY STRAIT POINT in port 7am-4pm
Down the road from Alaska’s largest Tlingit village exists a uniquely Alaskan place- Icy Strait Point. Just 22 miles southeast of Glacier Bay National Park, it’s the only wilderness port in Alaska. This has been the home land of the Huna Tlingit Natives for thousands of years. Its beauty, grandeur, history and people offer you a glimpse into the real Alaska.

DAY 17- KETCHIKAN in port 9am-6pm
Known as the “Salmon Capital” of Alaska and the first city for those traveling from the south, this brilliant seaside community offers a number of adventures for its visitors. Flight seeing to beautiful Misty Fjords is a popular event for many. Others may elect to keep their feet on the ground and visit the totem displays of Saxman Village & Totem Bight Park. If you are exploring on your own, the historic Creek Street District is a must, and the Southeast Discovery Lands Center is well worth the cost of admission.

DAY 18- INSIDE PASSAGE CRUISING
Tidal waters permitting, you will hug the coastlines of Alaska and stunning British Columbia. The scenery offered by the Inside Passage is far different from that found in other cruise destinations around the globe. Keep an eye open for Humpbacks, Orcas, and Dolphins during your day at sea.

Fly Home: AK108- Jul 27
DAY 19- VANCOUVER in port 7am
As dawn breaks on the harbor, your vessel will sail under the Lions Gate Bridge and dock at the Canada Place Pier. This marks a time for good-byes and well wishes to all of those new friendships that have developed during your dream Alaska vacation. After the disembarkation process is completed and you pass through Canadian customs, you will be transferred to the Vancouver or Seattle (optional) airports where you will board flights bound for home.
