Floatplane Flight Seeing Adventures

Floatplanes are a major means of transportation in Alaska today and while visiting Anchorage you will find no better example of this than Lake Hood, the busiest seaplane base in the world. Flightseeing trips from Anchorage will give you the opportunity to view vast mountain peaks and provide aerial glacial pamoramas. These excursions operate anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours. Take advantage of the opportunity to experience sights like Columbia Glacier, Redoubt Mountain, Lake Clark National Preserve or even Mount McKinley form the sky.
This is also the best way to get to remote areas for fly-out fishing adventures of bear viewing. Please see our bear viewing and remote fly-out fishing pages for more information on these trips.
