Your journey begins in Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city. Upon arrival, a John Hall’s Alaska representative greets you at the airport and transfers you to the iconic Hotel Captain Cook, a longtime John Halls Alaska partner. Located in downtown Anchorage, this timeless hotel offers views overlooking Cook Inlet and the Chugach Mountains as well as multiple restaurants and locally-owned shops onsite.

Day 2: Glenn Highway Scenic Byway to Valdez

Day 3: Prince William Sound
Today guests will embark on an unforgettable six-hour journey into Columbia Bay in Prince William Sound with Stan Stephens Glacier and Wildlife Cruises.
Family-owned-and-operated locally for more than 50 years, Stan Stephens Cruises has long been part of the Valdez community and is known for responsibly sharing the glaciers and wildlife of Prince William Sound with visitors from around the world. Day 7: Kantishna
Today is dedicated to exploring the remote Kantishna area, deep within Denali National Park. The morning is left open, giving guests a chance to ease into the day before choosing how they would like to spend their time. Options include a guided trek further into the park, a flightseeing excursion around Mount Denali, a stop at the well-known Wonder Lake or an afternoon spent gold panning along the river. Others may simply prefer to relax at the water’s edge and take in the scenery. Denali Backcountry Lodge’s secluded setting makes this one of the most distinctive stays of the entire journey.

Day 8: Denali and Talkeetna
This morning begins with the 92-plus mile journey back out of the park, retracing the route from Kantishna. The more time guests spend in this remote stretch of Denali National Park, the greater their chances of catching a clear view of Mount Denali, making every mile of the journey worthwhile.
