Know Before You Go Information:

Making A Reservation -

Space on each tour is limited, so please book early. Our price guarantee assures you that you will never pay more than those who book later on. We never conduct "fire sales" at the last minute. If a special becomes available later, we will extend these deals to you too! Booking early ensures that you will have the best selection of departure dates and cruise cabins.

Reservations may be made directly to John Hall’s Alaska by mail, fax, telephone, or in person. (800) 325-2270. Fax (651) 345-1230. We know which tours our guests love and which ones to skip!

Whether you are taking a CruiseTour, a Land Only tour or a Cruise Only tour, the deposit requirements are the same. To confirm your reservation please send a deposit of $500.00 per person within 10 days of your reservation. To reserve your space by credit card please contact our office. Please read our Responsibility Statement before making your deposit.

When are Final Payments Due?

Making Airfare Arrangements -

John Hall's Alaska tour packages do not include airfare. We are happy to look up current rates for guests wishing to fly on alternate airlines and assist in the booking process. Please forward your complete air itinerary or airline confirmation number to our office so that we can track your flight and meet you at the airport upon arrival. If your airline changes your flight number, please pass on the new flight number to our office as this is how we track your arrival into Anchorage.

Special Dietary, Mobility or Medical Needs -

Salt-free, vegetarian, kosher or any food allergy avoidance meals must be requested at the time of booking. Should you need wheelchair accessible rooms or rooms near an elevator, please let us know at the time of booking. If you require your medicine refrigerated or will be bringing a sharps container, please let us know at the time of booking.

Passport Requirements -

Everyone on an Alaskan cruise will need a passport of some kind. Even if you are just going on an Seattle to Seattle- Alaska cruise you will still be crossing international boundaries by landing in an international Canadian port on some leg of your journey, so a passport is required. On our tours that cross into the Yukon Territories, you will also need a passport. When departing the U.S. for Canada , a passport is mandatory and must be carried with you. IMPORTANT: Your passport must be valid for 6 months after your expected re-entry into the United States. Also, the wait for a passport can be two months so you will want to get the process started right away.

Extra Overnights in Anchorage, Vancouver or Seattle -

John Hall's Alaska enjoys special rates at several hotels in each location. Whether you fly in a few days ahead or several weeks ahead, we will still meet you at the airport and get you to your hotel. We can help you with extended stays as well. Call us to help you make these arrangements.

I Want To Customize my Tour and Add On Extra Land Excursions- What Do I Do?

We understand that you may want to come in a few days early or stay a few days after your tour to do some custom activities. Please contact our office with your interests and we will make suggestions based upon the time of year and your desires. We can assist you with booking rental cars, additional hotel stays and extra activities. (800) 325-2270

What Gratuities Are Covered and What Gratuities Should I be Considering?

Gratuities are already included for all meals, baggage handling, activities and attractions as well as gratuities for cruise line staff such as room stewards, waiters and bar staff. Gratuities are not included for your John Hall's Alaska Land Tour Manager and Cruise Manager. Tipping of John Hall's Alaska staff should be done at your discretion and should reflect the job performance of your Tour Manager/Cruise Manager.

We will only provide suggestions:

On Land: Your tour manager will take care of all included features of the tour. We suggest a minimum of $5- 7 per person, per day for your Land Tour Manager.

At Sea: We suggest a minimum of $10.00 per person for your John Hall's Alaska Cruise Manager for the entire 7 day cruise.

Tour Interruptions

For the sake of providing a tour enjoyable to all guests, John Hall’s Alaska reserves the right to request that a guest leave the tour if the guest’s behavior becomes disruptive to other tour guests. The costs associated with returning home early will be the guest’s responsibility.

Beyond Expectations

***** 5 stars

Travel Date: June 2014

This tour was beyond expectations including top notch accommodations and the exceptional assistance from not only the tour guides but also from the entire John Hall family and associates.

Most Memorable Moment:

A very hard decision as we just encountered 18 days of fantastic moments ranging from the unimaginable natural beauty of Alaska to the amazing viewing of the whales. An overwhelming experience to say the least!!!

The Entire Trip Was Memorable

***** 5 stars

Travel Date: June 2014

Most Memorable Moment:

My most memorial moment was having lunch at Trail Breaker Kennels. Susan Butcher was a woman I always looked up to. She showed the world how tough and resilient a woman really is. Both of us will never forget our flight around Mt McKinley. Breath taking and exhilarating! Now I know what the Whos' felt like in Horton Hears a Who! (Dr. Suess). Then again the whales that we saw on the Baranof Dream were totally unreal! Captain Mark was amazing at keeping us in the area to watch them feed. OK. I give up, the entire trip was memorable!
