  • DAY 1: VANCOUVER, BC

    Arrive in Vancouver today, the start of a very exciting northern adventure! Upon arrival you will be met by World Wide Shore Service representatives who will assist you in your transfer to the marvelous Radiance of the Seas.  Your John Hall’s Alaska Cruise Manager will greet you once you are on board.

    Cruising All Day -

    Tidal waters permitting, you will hug the coastlines of stunning British Columbia and Alaska today. Keep an eye open for humpbacks, orcas and dolphins during your day at sea.

  • DAY 3: KETCHIKAN, AK

    In Port: 6am - 4pm
    Known as the “Salmon Capital of the World” and the first city for those traveling from the south, this vibrant seaside community offers a number of adventures for its visitors. Today’s included walking tour features stops at the Totems of Whale Park, historic Creek Street, and the Salmon Ladder. Flightseeing to beautiful Misty Fjords is a popular event for many. Others may elect to keep their feet on the ground and visit the totem displays of Saxman Village & Totem Bight Park.

  • DAY 4: ICY STRAIT POINT, AK

    In Port: 9am - 6pm
    Down the road from Alaska’s largest Tlingit village exists a unique Alaskan place- Icy Strait Point.  Just 22 miles southeast of Glacier Bay National Park, it’s the only wilderness port in Alaska. This has been the home land of the Huna Tlingit Natives for thousands of years. Its beauty, grandeur, history and people offer you a glimpse into the real Alaska.

  • DAY 5: JUNEAU, AK

    In Port: 7am - 9:30pm
    Maneuver into the Gastineau Channel and dock in Alaska’s capital city, Juneau. Take advantage of your included Juneau walking tour highlighting the history of the Juneau Douglas Mines, local and state museums, and a visit to the state capital. You may wish to tour the Mendenhall Glacier, take a helicopter tour, or travel to the top of Mt. Roberts on the aerial tram.

  • DAY 6: SKAGWAY, AK

    In Port: 7am - 4:30pm
    Welcome to the “Gateway City to the Klondike Gold Rush”!  This historic community still has the feel of an 1898 boom town. The voices coming from the saloons and the sound of boots on the boardwalk still echo in the air, while the legend of outlaw “Soapy Smith” lives on in every story. You have the option to take the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad on an incredible climb, 2500 feet to the top of the renowned “Dead Horse Trail”.

  • DAY 7: HUBBARD GLACIER, AK

    Hubbard Glacier Viewing: 7am - 11am
    Today’s voyage takes you into Yakutat Bay and alongside the Tongass National Forest where you will soon reach Disenchantment Bay and the impressive ice wall of Hubbard Glacier.  Hubbard is the second most active tidewater glacier in Alaska and has a face that extends over 6.5 miles in length. Stand in awe as at any moment a thunderous crash of glacial ice may come cascading down into the ice choked waters below.

  • DAY 8: ANCHORAGE, AK

    Say goodbye to the Radiance of the Seas this morning and board the Alaska Railroad for a scenic ride to Anchorage. Upon arrival you will be greeted by your John Hall’s Alaska Land Tour Manager who will be your escort for the following 10 days. Enjoy a gourmet lunch at Simon & Seafort’s overlooking Cook Inlet before spending the remainder of the afternoon at the colorful Alaska Native Heritage Center. Tonight your home will be the bustling town of Anchorage, Alaska.

  • DAY 9: KODIAK, AK

    Early this morning you will transfer to the Anchorage airport and board a short flight to Kodiak, Alaska. After breakfast in Kodiak, enjoy a city tour and then a visit to Fort Abercrombie State Historical Park and its WWII bunkers. The remainder of your day will be filled with Russian influences including a visit to Kodiak's Russian Orthodox Church.

  • DAY 10: KODIAK, AK

    Today will be a full day of adventure with the folks from Andrew Airways as we seek out the first of our three bears, the coastal brown bear.  This custom adventure will take you on a small plane flightseeing expedition into remote parts of Kodiak Island offering views of the Katmai volcanoes and the surrounding glaciers. Watch for bears in the hills and along the coastlines as we soar over the waterways of Kodiak. Overnight in Kodiak.

  • DAY 11: TALKEETNA, AK

    Board your flight back to Anchorage this morning where you will hop on the motorcoach and head north to the quaint village of Talkeetna. On the way you will travel through the beautiful MatSu Valley. Your evening is free to explore the people and places in Talkeetna or consider an optional flightseeing tour around Mt. Denali with a breathtaking glacier landing.

  • DAY 12: DENALI NATIONAL PARK, AK

    Travel the George Parks highway this morning en route to Denali National Park. On the way, pass the south face vantage point for Mt. Denali for one of many chances to capture Mt. Denali in all its glory. Upon arrival, board a private sightseeing bus bound for Kantishna. Keep your cameras ready to capture moose, caribou, Dall sheep, wolf and the second bear on this itinerary, the grizzly bear of Denali National Park! Tonight you’ll sleep 92.5 miles deep in the heart of Denali National Park.

    Today you can relax in a peaceful setting offering visitors the chance to go one on one with nature and perhaps capture that postcard photo of Mt. Denali. Hiking, mountain biking, floral tundra tours, cooking classes, gold panning and fishing in Wonder Lake are included with your stay. Optional flightseeing tours of Mt. Denali are available.

  • DAY 14: FAIRBANKS, AK

    Photograph the “Big Five” as you make your return trip to the park entrance this morning. Board the historic Alaska Railroad for a scenic journey to Fairbanks, your home for the following three nights.  With clear skies, the Northern Lights may be viewable.

  • DAY 15: FAIRBANKS, AK

    Fly to Kaktovik this morning. Spend your day viewing polar bears as they feed in the whale “bone yard” of Kaktovik village.  Your afternoon will be split between viewing bears on land and going out in small boats to view the bears on off shore islands. Return to Fairbanks for the afternoon.

  • DAY 16: FAIRBANKS, AK

    This morning journey to the beautiful and therapeutic Chena Hot Springs where you will spend the day. Take a dip in the healing waters or visit the Ice Museum for one of their famous apple martini’s in a carved ice glass before

    returning to Fairbanks. Your farewell dinner includes an educational presentation at Trail Breaker Kennels where you’ll meet the sled dogs.
